Why Marketing?
As you may have seen on my About Me page, my interest in marketing started at a young age. Growing up in a family that owned and operated two small businesses, I was exposed early on to the behind-the-scenes efforts that go into running and sustaining a company. I often helped my mom with marketing-related tasks like creating social media posts, brainstorming ways to promote sales, and doing other small tasks to aid in promotional operations. These hands-on experiences gave me a natural feel for marketing, and over time, I realized how much I truly enjoyed it. As I continued to assist my mom, I began to bring in what I was learning in my college marketing courses, things like consumer behavior and social media best practices, and apply them in real-world ways to help the businesses grow.
Because of this foundation, marketing has come naturally to me. I have developed a unique perspective that blends real-world small business experience with formal education in digital marketing. This has helped me better understand how a company’s overall goals should drive marketing decisions, not just what looks good or gets attention, but what truly supports growth, brand consistency, and customer relationships. My analytical mindset helps me dive into data and performance metrics, while my creative side allows me to think outside the box and design content that connects. I feel genuinely fulfilled in my choice to pursue marketing as a career, and I am excited about the opportunities it offers to be both strategic and innovative. I know I have found the right path, and I look forward to using my unique background to make meaningful, results-driven marketing decisions for future clients or employers.
