My TikTok Journey

How it started...

I started taking TikTok seriously during the summer of 2023. I have always had a strong interest in creating content, and I saw how people close to me were having major success on the platform. This sparked my interest, and I began posting consistently, trying to discover a niche content pillar that would capture a loyal audience. Through some trial and error, I found that my videos related to college and advice resulted in the highest engagement. After having a few viral videos, I started an Amazon Storefront to draw income from. This affiliate marketing platform gave me great returns, and I started mixing in promoting it with my regularly scheduled content. As my platform grew, I started receiving emails from companies that wanted to work with me. This was always a dream for me, and I loved being able to get products and integrate the collaborations within my content.

How it's going...

Being a senior in college, I am currently very busy and putting a lot of my free time into the job hunt, so I have been less active on the platform. I also was facing a little bit of "artist's block" and was not happy with the content I was producing. That being said, I am currently working on ways I can reposition my niche and use the tactics and strategies I have learned in my courses. JLeeeds on TikTok will be very active again soon!
